I see the entry on list H produced 572 586

This means that every day I paid Tse Leung $1.55 for

two Indian Sergeants. I am not quite sure how the money were di

vided between them, one got 80 cents and the other 70 cents a

day. I began the payment a long time ago. About 2 years ago I

paid the money to Tse Leung for them. A Leung asked me for the

money for them.

No.586 was dismissed from the Police about the

end of last year, after that no payment was made in his behalf.

I continued to pay money for 572 up to the 11,1897. 3rd.moon of this year. Then he said that he did not want any

more money. I do not know for what reason. From the 3rd.moon

of last year I did not pay any more money for 572.
